WA artist Patrick Doherty returns to FAC with an exhibition of painting, drawing on a range of influences from informal urban art to genre painting and biblical text.
Doherty’s style weaves effortlessly between reality and fantasy, in this vibrant series of large-scale works. An amalgamation of personal and spiritual mythology, religious iconography and political figures, Doherty creates a world of men and beasts lost in colour that simultaneously disturbs and enthralls.
