In his first solo exhibition in Western Australia, Benjamin Forster’s installation )( utilises objects, images, books and video to investigate contemporary systems of rationality; the storage of information and the tenuous connection to ‘meaning’ and ‘value’.
Forster recently won the non-acquisitive 2010 Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award supported by Little Creatures Brewing. Forster is a recent graduate of the Australian National University in Canberra, and has participated in numerous exhibitions and residencies around Australia, including Symbiotica and PICA in 2010, and Fremantle Arts Centre in 2010–11.
